During Month #2 we take that new found flexibility and stability and teach you to use them while performing functional movements. You see getting wider splits through stretching can actually leave you at greater risk for injury, even though I know most of you think it will protect your groins.
It might surprise you to know that muscle tears and strains do not happen when a muscle is stretched, they happen when a muscle is contracting – often in a lengthened position or while lengthening.
